Here at Honey Doe Farm we primarily raise La Mancha and Nigerian Dwarf goats, with a good number of Mini La Manchas to round off the herd. All of our milking goats are tested for CAE (Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis), Tuberculosis, and Brucellosis. We disbud, vaccinate, deworm, copper bolus - you name it. Whatever it takes to keep our goats healthy and milking well. All of our goats have names and aren't just considered livestock - they are working partners in the dairy!
We are always striving to produce a better animal, not just for our milking lines, but for your breeding herd or show ring. Every year we bring in better bucks, and occasionally we add high quality does from other farms. We aim to create milkers who are hardy and milkable, with correct structure that will enable them to produce for years. When our goats can no longer safely produce kids and milk, we do retire them and allow them to live their lives in comfort.
